   BIM Management Consultant – Southern Africa

The BIM Management Consultant leads the BIMGAMES Client Teams by developing, positioning and building consistent BIM management approaches and by developing critical success metrics. In collaboration with others, the role is responsible for developing project estimates, performing risk assessments, generating clear project plans and strategies, managing work productivity, and handling internal and client communications. A strong experience and appreciation for BIM, design and collaboration with creative teams, is critical to delivering compelling results.

This means we need project management leaders who can both effectively juggle all the details of internal productivity and create strategic overarching methods and practices—all while keeping relevant parties and departments up to date with timely and regular communication.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a strong, empathetic and personable leader who knows that success is built on a foundation of great teamwork, dazzling levels of clear organization, excellent communication, and an innovative, flexible, solution-oriented approach. You excel at guiding complex, multi-discipline projects from start to finish, including: scoping and framing new projects; planning and overseeing budgets and resources; managing team dynamics and work productivity.

You will work closely with the business development team and creative leadership to develop project estimates, including performing risk assessments; work with clients to determine a clear scope of work, deliverables, timeline and target budget; identify improvements to project strategy; and anticipate client needs.

In short, it’s up to you and the BIM PM team to help ensure that projects stay on schedule and on budget and that we’ve met client expectations.

Well versed in best BIM management practices, you will help refine the BIM management team’s approach by building a strong team culture and through close mentoring. You will also get to put your excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills to work with diverse groups of people.

Finally, in addition to deep project management experience, you have a grand passion for design and product development.

Diploma/Degree in a creative field, engineering or architectural design preferred; BIM/Autodesk Professional certification or BIM education from an accredited organization; 3+ years in a manager role preferred; 5+ years of experience managing project teams of up to 10-15+ employees/contractors/clients; experience writing proposals; exceptional financial experience with project budgets/spreadsheets. Exceptional knowledge of CAD/BIM best practices.


Scoping and framing new BIM projects; planning budgets and resources; managing team dynamics and work productivity; communicating effectively both internally and with clients; proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, MS Project; exceptional PC skills; exceptionally strong knowledge of project management best practices, methodologies, and BIM tools

Special Requirements

Domestic and international travel up to 30% of the time in support of client meetings, development training and projects.

You may also be required to host company events, present at conferences, and write articles on behalf of BIMGAMES.
